Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Aldi Dupe Review

Saturday, 22 September 2018

I've raved about Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Pads for months, so you can imagine my amazement when I was strolling around Aldi and found this complete dupe of one of my favourite products for a fraction of the price. The packaging uses almost identical colours and branding, I have no idea how they get away with it!
I had to pick them up and give them a go, if I could get these pads for £2.49 in Aldi instead of the up to £15 I usually pay in Boots it was definitely worth a try! With the packaging being almost identical I was hoping the product inside would be too.

When I opened the tub the first thing I noticed was the scent was a lot more chemically than the Nip + Fab version. It was quite strong but it wasn't awful, just not as pleasant as their more expensive counterparts. The pads themselves are a lot thiner than the more expensive ones too, they still have the exfoliating side and the smooth side but with the difference in thickness there isn't a massive difference in the feel of either side.

After using these pads, instead of my usual ones, for a few weeks you can tell the difference very slightly. I've had a few more breakouts than I would usually expect to get and my skin doesn't feel quite as soft as it usually does. That being said, if I had found these ones first I would have probably been raving about how much they have changed my skin, because although they are not as effective as the more expensive Nip + Fab alternative, they definitely still work to a point. For the difference in price these are amazing for someone on a budget!

Have you used any of Aldi's Lacura range? What are your favourite products?

  1. It's all fine and well saying they look the same but are the ingredients the same? is the level of Glycolic the same? its quite hard to say there are dupes in skincare because a small change in formula can have big differences
