Busfest 2018

Thursday, 13 September 2018

This weekend was Busfest 2018. It's usually my favourite Volkswagen show of the season, and this year didn't disappoint! I always manage to get lots of bits for the camper along with a million more ideas for more projects I can do.

There are always much more trade stalls selling actual parts and products designed for VW's rather than just general merchandise like in other shows. I've found that more and more shows are becoming less about restorations and project vans and more about the 'scene' with more t-shirt and accessories stalls than anything else, which is a bit annoying.

One of my favourite stands at all of the shows I've been to this year has been Glawning. Their awnings are so awesome and I would love to get one when Aggie is back on the road. For the kit you get the prices are really good too!

There was also a good amount of auto jumble stalls too. With so many little bits needed to get my project bus ready for the open road I spent a good while rummaging for bits. It's easy to loose a few hours just going from stall to stall and having a sift through.

And at the end of the day comes the all too common search for your van in the car park. With so many VW's on one place it always take that much longer to find yours!

  1. A VW split screen campervan is my dream vehicle! I've been to Busfest a few times but missed it this year. I love going along and taking photos of all the beautiful campers.
