Summit To Eat - Freeze Dried Food

Wednesday, 16 May 2018

For those who have been following Wanderlust Daydreaming for a little while, you will already know that I like to go adventures and (hopefully) will have my VW Camper back on the road this year ready to go travelling around with our new arrival. So when Summit To Eat got in touch and asked if I would like to try out some of their freeze dried camping and adventure meals I jumped at the chance.

These meals are made a little differently to the normal freeze dried meals that you can get from other brands, because they are prepared just as they would be if you were cooking them fresh and then freeze dried. Meaning that all the flavour and taste is still there. They are designed to keep you energised throughout whatever adventure you are on and even have a handy chart on the front clearly explaining the nutrients in each pack.

They are super easy to make, all you need is hot water and a spoon! All the instructions are clearly listed on the back but for the most part all you have to do is open the packet, take out the moisture absorber and pour in boiling water to the fill line. Stir and leave for a few minutes and your delicious meal is ready to eat.

You don't even have to have any bowls or plates as they are designed to be eaten straight from the packet, but much easier to photograph in a bowl! They come in a range of breakfast, main meals and desserts and there is plenty of choice for the fussy eaters amongst us. They are crammed full of flavour and are all really good portion sizes.

You can find out lots more and get your hands on your own over on the Summit To Eat website, let me know what you think in the comments if you do try them. I can't wait to order more for our camper travels later in the summer!

  1. Actually quite impress by that pasta, it didn't look like much in the packet but the boiling water makes it looks edible
