February Netflix Picks

Wednesday, 14 February 2018

Netflix has been a lifesaver for me over the last few weeks. I have spent so much time in bed, exhausted, that I was losing my mind. But in comes Netflix to save the day with all its awesome binge worthy material. So here are my top picks for February.

When We First Met

This is a new, original release from Netflix. Starring Adam Devine (Pitch Perfect, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Modern Family) its a great rom-com for the Valentines season. Noah (Adam Devine) falls in love with Avery (Alexandra Daddario) at a party, but 3 years later he's at her engagement party drowning his sorrows. Waking up from his hangover he finds himself back to that fateful day with another chance to make her fall in love with him.

Emo The Musical

When I came across this I put it on as a joke to wind the husband up but within the first 2 minutes I was hooked. It was over the top cheesy and hilarious but I found myself singing the songs days after. The comedy was standard Aussie humour and it completely made my evening. My personal favourite songs were 'Would Jesus' and 'Infect Me Now'. The characters reminded me of so many people from school, I loved it! Definitely worth a watch if you were or wanted to be an emo in school.

Rick And Morty

Yes, I'm super late to the party! I watched an episode of Rick and Morty back last year and then forgot all about it. I know, mental, how could I forget such an epic show?! But I did, and then I remembered it again at the start of the year, so lets just move past it and get over it. I love this show! It's sick, it's ridiculous and I just can't get enough of it. Rick makes me feel like I want to throw up every time he does a sickie burp but even that doesn't put me off. I have no idea where they come up with their story lines but I cannot wait for the new season, even though its a million miles off.

The Good Place

I've been watching this one for a while but when I caught up with the weekly episodes I stopped and saved them up, so that I could binge watch the rest of the season. It's a little slow as a weekly show, the episodes are short so just not enough to fill my weekly need of The Good Place, but as a binge watch it's great. It sees Kristen Bell's character being sent to the "Good Place" after she dies but they seem to have mixed her up with another person who's now been sent, in her place, to the "Bad Place".   Anything can happen, full of twists and turns you won't expect.

What are you watching on Netflix at the moment?
