The Beefy Boys - Hereford

Wednesday, 23 August 2017

The Beefy Boys in Hereford has been on my bucket list for a long time. They have been recommended to me so many times by numerous people that I felt obliged to go when I was visiting Hereford last weekend. We hadn't booked and when we arrived it was jam packed but the pure joy on everyones faces whilst they were eating made us opt to sit outside rather than come back later.

We ordered enough to feed a small army of people, the menu looked so good I felt like getting one of everything. Common sense prevailed and we got a burger and side each, choosing to share the sides between us so that we could all have a taste of as much as possible.

The Bacon Fries were to die for, fully loaded with baconnaise, bacon dust and actual bacon. They were so addictive I would have just been happy to sit and eat a huge bowl of those. But we also ordered Ninja Wings which taste even more awesome than they sound! Twice cooked with a concoction of amazingness including soy, garlic and honey, they also come with a Sriracha dip.

On to the burger. Now a lot of you are going to be a little annoyed at me for this, but I went for The Lonely Boy. This is the classic no fuss burger with just cheese and bacon, no salad, no sauce. I am really fussy with what I eat and that was part of the reason I went for this option but there was another reason. I knew that with so many people recommending The Beefy Boys the burgers were going to be great and I wanted to taste that burger without the distraction of all the other ingredients. Everyone else that was with me ordered burgers that sounded amazing and I knew I could get a taste of those too so I wasn't too worried about ordering the plainest burger on the menu.

You can see from the photo how juicy the actual burgers are. Perfectly cooked, each mouthful was just as tasty as they next and even though I was full to the brim I couldn't stop eating. After years of eating rubbish fast food burgers, the flavour and texture of this was mind blowing.

As you can see we all loved our food, not leaving a scrap. I had to practically roll back to the car to get home because there wasn't room for another bite. These guys were definitely worth the hype, every member of staff was really welcoming and made sure we had everything we wanted. I can't wait to go back already!

Have you tried The Beefy Boys yet?
