Sky Bar Swansea Opening Night

Monday, 10 July 2017

Last week the new Sky Bar in Swansea's Meridian Tower opened it's doors. If you have been reading my blog for a little while you may have seen the post just before Christmas about the Grape & Olive  and Sky Bar is their new cocktail area. Last time I visited it was really dark and foggy, so I was glad of the beautiful summer weather so I could appreciate the amazing views the 29th floor offers.

There was a lovely range of cocktails on the menu to suit all sorts of tastes and we dove head first into learning all about them. We were shown how they make quite a few of the drinks on the new menu and it was mesmerising watching all the fresh ingredients mixing together to create amazing concoctions.

My favourites were definitely the Espresso Martini (no surprises there) which was the perfect amounts of coffee and alcohol. I also really enjoyed the Bramble, which was Raspberry liqueur, Bombay Sapphire gin, lemon juice and raspberries. It was lovely and refreshing for the warm weather.

We were also treated to tasters of the menu from Grape and Olive and it was delicious! Nobody could get enough, and I think we all went back for seconds (and maybe thirds). My absolute fave was the Baked Camembert but everything was so tasty.

I finished the evening off with a non alcoholic cocktail which consisted of so many beautiful summer fruits and lemonade. It was the perfect summer drink if you don't want to drink alcohol.

As always the staff at Sky Bar and Grape and Olive were fantastic and nothing was too much for them. I can't wait to go back again for more yummy cocktails and food. You can book your table or find out more HERE
