Weekend Travels

Wednesday, 5 October 2016

Last weekend I went away with my family to Weymouth to celebrate my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Weymouth has a lot of nostalgia for the whole family so we thought it would be the best place to take them as a surprise and to create more memories.

We stayed in Warmwell and all had a cabins in the woods, which was amazing. Our cabin was a little further away from everyone else's as we had a dog friendly one so Pugsey could come along. There were deer roaming around that were really friendly and my small cousins (and older ones) all loved going up and petting them.

We got to visit lots of places that we visited when I was a kid and it was so much fun being able to do it with the whole family, all 23 of us! We went on a row boat across the harbour and came down a dry slop on rubber rings. But I think my favourite part was getting to visit Durdle Door which is somewhere I remember loving when I was small. This time though I went in the dark to capture images of the stars. It was my first attempt so I'm not entirely happy with the final images but don't think they were a bad first go.

We all had an amazing time and, most importantly, my grandparents loved it. I can't wait for the next family trip!
