Always With Love - Giovanna Fletcher, Review

Friday, 8 July 2016

Sophie's got used to being the girlfriend of Billy Buskin, the biggest movie star in the world. Sort of.
But when she and Billy take a trip to visit his family in Los Angeles, she quickly discovers she's totally unprepared for the chaos of Hollywood, the paparazzi and Billy's controlling mother.
And when Billy extends his stay in LA, leaving Sophie to fly home to Rosefont Hill alone, it seems there's more than just miles between them.
Now Sophie must decide if they can overcome their differences for good. Because not every love story lasts the distance . . .
Always With Love is the next instalment of the Billy And Me series written by Giovanna Fletcher. I loved the first book so much and it has been my favourite of Fletcher's books with the welcomed addition the the Christmas novella, I couldn't wait to see what was going on in Sophie's world.

The book is a nice easy read and a nice follow on from the previous story. I do think that it could have done with a little more of a story line as it relied a little too much on the characters relationships and the audiences already established feelings towards them. The story itself I loved, but I think that I would have liked to have seen a little more interaction with Billy's family or Peter.

Saying that, the fact that we only see Sophie skirting around the other characters and her feelings towards them does show how in love she is with Billy and that when it comes to her world she is in her own little bubble. Overall I did enjoy the next chapter in Sophie and Billy's lives and seeing the massive change in scenery and pace in their relationship.

Have you read any of Giovanna Fletcher's books?
