Lucy Spraggan, Cardiff

As a lot of you know I work very closely with a clothing company called GDL Clothing and absolutely love their brand ethos and style! They are starting to make waves and one of the most exciting people to be wearing them at the moment is Lucy Spraggan. So when she was playing in Cardiff, we jumped at the chance to see her play live.

Mary Mac opened up for Lucy along with Jolene Dover and Tom Auton. It was a great opening line up and they got the crowd pumped up. Pride Cymru put the event on and they did a great job in choosing acts for support.

Excuse the photos as I wasn't allowed to take my camera in. Lucy played a great set, with her quirky comedic lyrics and catchy melodies I was singing the Morrisons advert in my head all night. It was a very intimate venue but it made it all the better as she was able to interact with the crowd more. I don't think I have heard a song of hers that I don't like and I know all the GDL guys loved the show too. If she is playing a gig near you, I would definitely go see her!

Then just before she had to shoot off home, one of her team came and grabbed us to say hi.  After the standard photoshoot and quick round of Whiskeys it was time for her to go. She was probably glad, being the only one not drinking in a room full of very merry Welsh girls. But she was genuinely lovely and I can't wait to hopefully see her play again soon.
