Day 11 - Discovery Cove

Wednesday, 2 March 2016

Another Florida post for you today guys! This is the eleventh day of my trip to Florida and probably my favourite. We woke up extremely early to get the earliest bus to Discovery Cove. Once we arrived we checked in at the front desk and collected our passes. We were then told that we would receive free food for the whole day, how amazing is that?! We were entitled to breakfast, snacks and dinner, amazing! We wandered over to the small cafe/restaurant to pick up some breakfast. There was so much choice so I decided to throw everything on my plate. We then had to check in to SeaVenture which I completely bummed out on as soon as I saw the stingrays, haha. My boyfriend absolutely loved it, it's an underwater walking tour and my boyfriend said that halfway through the tour they passed everyone food to give to the fish, the fish went absolutely mental and swam right in front of your face.

We then made our way to the dolphins, at first I was slightly scared as I didn't know how I was going to react. There was a small group of about six that went into the water, which was absolutely freezing by the way, haha. The trainer brought the dolphin over and it swam in front of us allowing us to touch it's back, it was so surreal. We then got to swim with the dolphins which was honestly one of the best things I have ever experienced, I didn't realise how strong they were. As sad as it sounds I felt like crying after I had swam with the dolphin, it was honestly incredible.

After everyone had swam with the dolphin we were called over individually and then in couples to have our pictures taken, how cute?! They then brought out the rest of the dolphins to show us a few tricks that they had been learning, which was soo good. The whole thing was videoed and will be included in my vlogs when I put them together. I honestly cannot recommend Discovery Cove enough, it must be one of the best places I have ever been.
