February Favourites

Sunday, 28 February 2016

I can't believe it's monthly favourites time already! Lots of these products have been featured in my other posts this month, like my Highstreet Haul and Foundation Review but I thought I would round up my favourite items from the posts because there were so many mentioned and also add in a few that I haven't shown you yet, that I have been loving.

These nails are from Primark and come in so many different shapes and sizes, nearly all of the are £1 but some of them do go up to the bank breaking £2. They are great for just popping on for a weekend and I can't get enough of them. The lipstick crayon is also Primark, they are £2 and come in a range of different colours. This one is nude, I would have never bought a nude colour for myself as I didn't think it would suit me, but it's all I have been wearing over the last few weeks. I love the matt effect and the colour lasts for ages before you have to re apply.

The Supercat Fat Eyeliner pen is from Soap & Glory. I have been wanting to try out a new pen for a while as I was getting bored of my Barry M pen that is quite simliar. What drew me to this one was that it has a flat edge on the one side that makes it so much easier to achieve the shape you want. It's nice and pigmented, so you don't have to keep going over the same line, these pens are never the blackest of black liners but they are great when you just want to get a nice wing and not spend half an hour trying to achieve it.
Not really a beauty favourite but I do love to light these when I am getting ready. I recieved a gorgeous Spring scent box of Yankee Candle votives for my birthday. I am yet to light any because I don't want them to run out, so I just keep sniffing them instead, because thats not weird. I love this Summer Flowers fragrance and the colour is perfect to brighten up the mood after the dreary Winter we have had.

I have featured my new DiorSkin Forever Foundation in a few posts and I still love it now as much as I did in the first post. I love the mattifying effect it has on my skin, that I haven't been able to achieve with any other foundation. I also love how long it lasts on my skin. I hardly wear any makeup when I am in work as it just rubs off on the back of the camera but I wore this last week of a 9 hour location shoot with the wind and rain against me and, even though I didn't look my best, my foundation was still mostly intact when I got home. I can't rave about this enough at the moment, I love it!

I had tried and hated Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo back last year. It matted my hair together and didn't smell all that great. I couldn't get a brush through my hair and I ended up throwing it in the bin almost full. Kristie, my sister, bought me a care package full of beauty products for my birthday and she included two new versions of this dry shampoo. I was very hesitant to try it again but I am so glad I did. I don't know if they have changed the formula since last year, or if I picked up one that wasn't suitable for my hair, but this dry shampoo is great. I have trouble finding a dry shampoo that works and doesn't leave white marks in my hair, as it's so dark, but this left no trace.

  1. It's great to know the dry shampoo doesn't leave white marks it's so annoying when that happens. And I love dior makeup so definitely need to try out that foundation! Great picks :)
