The Two Of Us - Review

Friday, 12 June 2015

Fisher and Ivy have been an item for a whole nineteen days. And they just know they are meant to be together. The fact that they know little else about each other is a minor detail. Over the course of twelve months, in which their lives will change forever, Fisher and Ivy discover that falling in love is one thing, but staying there is an entirely different story.

The Two of Us is a charming, honest and heart-breaking novel about life, love, and the importance of taking neither one for granted.

This was the most heart wrenching story I have read in a while, it's funny and sad and everything in between but above all it is a story about how love overcomes everything. No matter how old or young your love is, who or what it is for, love will always prevail.

It is definitely not a book you will want to read if you don't want to be blubbering to yourself late at night, after having the 'just one more chapter' talk with yourself. Jones' writing shows love from a man's perspective, the simplistic over thinking of the male who is only doing his best to make his other half happy. I loved the way he showed how this 'lad' had the warmest heart and that not everyone is quite who you think they are.

I loved this book and I just know it will be one that I read time and time again, whether it be when I am feeling down or trying to get some perspective on life. It was a great read.
