John Lewis Cardiff Beauty Event

Wednesday, 1 October 2014

Last week I went to the John Lewis Cardiff Beauty Event. I bought myself and my mother a ticket as I knew she would enjoy it and I also didn't want to go on my own. We both have a My John Lewis card so we get a free hot drink and cake every month which we took advantage of just before we went to the beauty sections.

I had a mocha and a slice of bakewell tart and my mother had a cappuccino and a fruit tart. After that we headed down to the main event and after getting our tickets were presented with a goodie bag, glass of champagne and a cupcake.

The cakes were made by an awesome company called Vale Cake Boutique and were delicious! I stuck to the orange juice as I was driving but my mother enjoyed many a glass of champagne (I'm sure the guy with the bottle was following her).

There was 20% off all beauty and I also had a £5 voucher as part of the ticket, so I bought a new 'Hello Flawless' foundation from Benefit Cosmetics which I had just run out of. I also picked up the powder version for my sister as she wasn't able to attend but still needed a new powder. Because I bought 2 Benefit products I got a makeup bag and a sample size of 'Porefessional' and 'Lollitint'. I also had a voucher for a 7 day trial of Dior's new foundation and colour match. As part of the goodie bag I had a full size John Lewis Nail Varnish, sample sizes of Roses De Chloe perfume and Calvin Klein perfume. I also received a sample of Clarins Mascara, Super Restorative Serum and Double Serum Complete Age Control. A Kiehl's Orange Flower & Lychee Body Lotion, MeruMaya Melting Cleansing Balm and Neal's Yard Remedies Hydrating Cream.

Have you been to any events recently? Are you going to any events soon? Link me to your posts in the comments so I can have a read!
