Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn

I started reading Gone Girl a few days ago, I had downloaded it a while ago but still had a lot of books to read before I got to it. But then I came across the trailer for the film and when I realised what I was watching I quickly turned it off and finished the current book I was reading so that I could get straight to this, as I hate reading a book after the film has come out. I'm about a quarter of the way through so far and its so tense, I suspect everyone!

Little Beach Street Bakery - Jenny Colgan

I have only read the first few pages of Little Beach Street Bakery as I have been so into reading Gone Girl. But I only bought it as an easy read for a break in between those books that take it all out of you. You want to start a new book but you are on a book hangover, can't quite get over the characters or the story, please tell me I'm not the only one this happens to?! Anyway it is what it is and I'm hoping for a nice little pick me up read.

Clash of Kings (Game of Thrones Book 2) - George R. R. Martin

I have been reading Clash of Kings forever. I seem to go in and out of love with reading it. I have watched all the series so far so I don't want to get to ahead of myself and find out what is going to happen before the series because I feel like the tv show is actually making me enjoy and understand the books a lot more. So if I am ever bored and looking for something to read I tend to pick it back up. Don't get me wrong it's an awesome book/series of books, but sometimes it's just a little full on.

I am thinking of starting a little read along, book club type thing as a regular post on here. Let me know in the comments if anyone would be interested. Would be a little bit sad to do it by myself...

  1. I think a book club is a really good idea, I'd be interested! I know what you mean about A Clash of Kings, it's a great book but very full on. It's probably my least favourite out of all the A Song of Ice and Fire books. I think the TV series goes up to the end of A Storm of Swords, so you'd be safe reading that one! xx
