Bank Holiday Weekend - Meeting The Feeling

Monday, 25 August 2014

This bank holiday weekend I spent taking photos for Salmonsfest in Usk. You would be forgiven if you had never heard of it, I hadn't until I seen a post one day on Facebook asking for local photographers to get in touch. I did the standard leaving of my email address and links and forgot all about it, until a few weeks ago I had an email asking me was I still available to shoot.

After I accepted the job I had a proper look at the website and the line up. The Feeling, Scouting for Girls and Goldie Lookin Chain were the main headline acts.  I wasn't too bothered about the last two, it was nice to get the opportunity to take photos of them but I wasn't a massive fan, but The Feeling are a band that I really like. I was meant to go and see them last November but missed them in Cardiff so I was really looking forward to seeing them.

What made it even better was that because I was working for the festival I had an all areas pass and got to go on stage with all the acts to take photos and have a sneaky watch side of stage. The Feeling guys were so nice and were awesome live. I'm so glad I got to see them, and in such an intimate venue.
